Dr. Shelia Garris Wallace Announcement to Patients

Dear Patients,

It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter to announce that after over 35 years of practicing Internal Medicine in the Richmond area, I have decided to retire from full-time practice on July 31, 2023. I look forward to spending more quality time with my family and seeing what God has for me in the future.

I am honored to have come to know so many of you and your families as not only patients but also as friends. Thank you for trusting your healthcare to me for all these years.

The Richmond Primary Care Division of Commonwealth Primary Care would like to continue to serve your health care needs during this transition period. I am excited to announce that Dr Lindsay Klein will be joining Richmond Primary Care full-time in August 2023. She, along with our Physician Assistants Anna Wilder and Christopher Dao, will be taking over most of my patients’ care after my retirement.

Should you decide to transfer your care to another physician within Commonwealth Primary Care, you can find a complete list of all our Providers at www.cpcva.com. To make an appointment with any of our CPC providers, please call their office directly. As a CPC provider, they will already have access to your complete electronic medical record.

If you decide to transfer your care outside of CPC, your medical records can be transferred to the new provider after you have completed and signed a Medical Records Release Form. The form can be obtained at any CPC Physician office or printed from our CPC website www.cpcva.com and returned to our Richmond Primary Care office.

If you have any questions or need any further assistance, we are here to assist you by calling Richmond Primary Care at 804-288-3001.

I have enjoyed being your primary care physician and wish you the very best in health in the future.

Sincerely,

Sheila Garris-Wallace, MD
